The Henderson County Board of Education acquired the design services of RBS Design Group Architecture for the new Spottsville Elementary School.
The new, 76,796 sq. ft., elementary school features 30 classrooms, 2 computer labs, and 4 resource rooms. Each classroom is equipped with a 75″ interactive board and is designed to meet the needs of the grade level it serves. Safety features include secured front entry, and the center of the 1st level corridor provides a clear eye line of all 4 corridor wings. The new elementary school is also energy efficient, featuring LED lighting and the use of daylighting, as well as Geothermal Wells for the HVAC System. These combined features allow this facility to exceed the energy efficiency code by 10%.
