RBS Announces New Associate

On June 12th, 2020, Principals with RBS Design Group, P.S.C., announced the promotion of staff member, Jeanie Cannon of the Owensboro-based architecture firm. Cannon has become an Associate of the firm, which was founded in 1978 and is one of the oldest and largest locally owned architectural firms in the region.

“Jeanie brings a unique set of skills, talent and passion that is translated into creative, innovative designs for our clients throughout Kentucky. As the next generation of leadership, we are confident that her involvement will allow us to build on our strong foundation of serving our civic, educational, health, commercial and faith-based clients,” said Craig Thomas, Principal Architect for RBS.

Cannon, an Owensboro native, joined RBS in 1986 after graduating from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in architectural Science. In her 34-year career with RBS, Cannon has been involved in over 200 projects, including the Daviess County High School renovations, Audubon Area Community Services office buildings, Seven Hills Preschool and Apollo High School addition and renovation, which is currently underway.

“We have enjoyed vibrant growth and stability for nearly 42 years and look forward to the impact and creativity that Jeanie will bring to the leadership of RBS,” said President and Principal Architect Mike Ranney, whose father, Otto, founded RBS in 1978.
